Roto-Bator Review – Dissapointment

Roto-Bator ReviewThere’s been a lot of hype regarding the Roto-Bator male sex toy, and having read some highly promising initial reviews of the product I decided to give it a go.  What was most intriguing about this toy was its novelty – it works by spinning what appears to be a kind of masturbation sleeve around your penis.  That’s right, it doesn’t suck, or pump, it spins/rotates around your penis, promising to deliver to your precious member a sensory experience unrivalled by any previous sex toy 0r, for that matter, any human vagina.

Having been blown away by the Tenga Flip Hole, I’ve become attracted to the idea of male sex toys that focus less on trying to immitate the real thing, and instead that try to go completely beyond it.  Never having had a girlfriend who could spin her pussy around my penis at 180 revolutions a minute, I decided I simply had to experience what the Roto-Bator had to offer.

Well, I’ve never experienced a bigger let down from a new sex toy. 

After only a few seconds of  being inside this thing, I felt like I had just got back from a trip to the penis dentist.  I experienced no sexual pleasure at all – just discomfort followed by a rapid desensatisation of the penis head.  Not every penis is the same, of course, and you might experience this differently, but even before my penis became numb (after about 5 seconds) the feeling was quite unpleasant. 

To be honest, I would have already thrown this thing in the dustbin if it were not for the fact that the ‘sleeve’ is so volumous and pliable that it’s possible to insert a small masturbation sleeve (such as the Super Head Honcho) inside of it.  This could be the toys saving grace, and once feeling has been restored to my penis, I’ll give it a try.  However, even if this rescue act does work, the fact that this toy, used as intended, will likely put many first time male sex toy buyers off the genre for life, means that I can only give the ‘Roto-Bator’ an unreserved thumbs down.

You’d be much better off purchasing the A-10 Cyclone, or a genuine male vibrator such as the excellent  Cobra Libre.

The end of the Rubbot Male Sex Toy Project?

RubbotThe Rubbot project was an attempt to create a satisfactory male sex toy by a group of dissatisfied independent product designers. Followers of the group’s Rubbot homepage were increasingly frustrated at having to read the documenting of yet more delays and problems in a project that began in 2006.

The makers of the mythical Rubbot decided recently that they would set a public deadline of January 15th this year for the sex toy to be officially announced to be ready, or else the project would be abandoned. With this deadline passing, it seems that the group have played fair and ended the Rubbot as a public exercise. The good news is that they are going to continue, if a little more privately and informally, to seek the holy grail of a male sex toy that will satisfy every man.

Although the news is a little disappointing, in a sense the Rubbot project has been rendered a little irrelevant. Since the project started nearly 4 years ago, the Tenga Flip Hole has demonstrated that sex toys for men can provide incredible physical sexual pleasure in themselves. Hell, I don’t even have to think of anything sexy anymore when I’m using it. We also now have the RealTouch, a virtual sex device that puts any sex toy for women currently available in a different epoch.
